The VOCONs(tm) is a vocabulary comic strip. This new concept in vocabulary education creates vivid mental images and visual word association for the reader. The characters are all a play on words - Dick Shinary, Sam Mantics, Cinny Nym, Auntie Nym, Acro Nym, Al Literation and Crossword (the dog). Their role is to allow the reader to have a VISUALLY RICH ENCOUNTER with a word. In every comic the meaning of the word, the use of the word in context and the derivation of each feature word is given. Knowledge of word roots gives the reader the building blocks toward achieving a greater vocabulary.Please read the trademark and copyright notice.
